I can’t tell you how happy I am to have finally found a FANTASTIC stylist!! Like many curly hair ladies, most stylists never treated my hair differently than straight hair, wetting it to cut…

So I haven’t had a hair cut in legitimately 3 years because every time I go somewhere, I get things like “I’ve never had hair like yours before!” or “You have tight curls, have you thought about relaxing it?” and “hmm, I think I’ll try something different” which made me feel like my hair was unusual when my hair is beautiful! Erik did a wonderful job also cutting it while DRY first (no one has ever done with me before), using various conditioners that are meant for corkscrew curls, and gave it more shape while also getting rid of my split ends. Erik is amazing and I am definitely going back to him for my next hair cut and if I ever want to try highlights again from someone experienced with curly hair!

Curly Hair? GO TO ERIK END OF STORY. I have never loved my curly more then after I got my hair cut by Erik Emblen. My 1st appointment was 9/16/17 and I have never had so many good hairs days in a row! (I’ve had a few since but that’s because of my laziness and on me). I have went to one other curly hair stylist but when you know, you know. Even though my hair is shorter than I normally go, I trust his skills and I actually embrace and like the change. Already booked my next appointment. Thank you Erik!!

Eric cut my hair March 9th and today April 25th ……My hair is still Great. No clips no pulling back just wash and blow dry. I brush out at night and wake up and hair is bouncy and alive/cute. Every cut I receive prior to Eric cutting my hair has in a matter of days required it to be pulled back/lifted or fixed a few days after being cut. If brushed out it lost all body and curl My husband has noticed which is plus! Now trying to figure out how to get back to Denver when I need another cut? Erik specializes in cutting curly hair, recently having been through Devachan’s week-long training, he has their highest rating, which I understand is not very easy to get. I’ve been getting my haircut by Erik for years, an awesome cut every time. Erik is a truly nice person who genuinely cares about your hair.

Kelly was wonderful! I have never loved a haircut more! I learned so much about my hair and how to treat it. I will for sure be coming back!

I just went to see Erik today after reading the great reviews here. He’s absolutely amazing! I hadn’t had my hair cut in 1 1/2 years (after my last traumatic cut)..so my hair was a mess to say the least. Erik spent so much time perfecting the cut and explaining all of his styling techniques to me so I could replicate it at home. Like someone else on here said, I actually went OUT after getting my hair cut instead of going home to “fix” it…that was a first! I’m super excited about this new method of styling my hair and will definitely be going back to Erik. Best hair cut I’ve ever had – hands down!

I had to jump in and leave a review! Erik has just given me possibly the best haircut in my life!! I’m a 2B curly girl, and it is extremely hard to find a person who truly understands how to work and manage curly hair. Erik did NOT fall short. He listened to EXACTLY what I wanted and GAVE IT TO ME!!! Thank you Erik!! I feel amazing!!! Growing up a curly red head, I’ve always hated my hair. I spent years round brushing to straighten my hair. I told Erik I was trying to embrace my natural. I wanted more volume and shape, and that’s exactly what I got!! Erik also helped my with styling tips and how to maximize my product. I was having some problems with getting my curls to form and the root and I believe it had a lot to do with using a regular shampoo. I’m working a no-poo and can already tell the difference. My granddaughter grew her hair out for 3 years to have the required 10 inches for Locks Of Love and still have her hair long after the cut. She has wildly curly hair and she was nervous about getting a cut. Enter Erik. Best haircut she’s ever had. Her words. Erik didn’t rush through her cut. He took his time and explained what he was doing every step of the way. He showed her how to care for her curls and which products were best for her hair type. AND Erik’s fee was so reasonable! Especially for the amount of time he spent with my girl….Thank you Erik! You are Brielle’s forever stylist. If you should ever decide to take your talents elsewhere( and don’t tell us where you’re going) we will hunt you down!

Erik did a fantastic job with my curls! I got a Deva cut from him and will definitely be coming back. He’s personable, interesting, and shared curly hair techniques and resources with me as he went. I’m not a poster child for curly hair best practices (I’m not able to spend the time and money to really maintain the look), but Erik worked with me to give my hair a great shape.

I drove 6 hours for a haircut after reading reviews on this site. Erik was wonderfully accommodating with my schedule, and I was amazed with the results! This was my first dry haircut after years of the same bland layered cut. I walked in with a shaggy, wind blown mess and an hour and a half later walked out with incredible curls. Erik took great care to explain each step, and show me exactly what I needed to do at home. I have had so many compliments since, it was absolutely worth the trip. I will definitely be back!
